What SWAPD knows about you, who can see it, and what we don't do with it.

What we collect
SWAPD collects only what it needs to run a school marketplace:
- Your first name and username
- A personal email address, used only for logging in and account recovery
- Optionally, your last name
- Your school, grade and student ID number, used for verification only
- Listings you post, including photos
- Messages and offers you send and receive
- Reports you file, and reports filed about you
- Basic usage timestamps, such as when your account was created and when you were last active
SWAPD has its own login. We never ask for your school account password, and you should never enter it here.

Messages are only visible to the two people in the conversation. If a conversation is reported, moderators may review it to handle the report.
Photos
Location data and other hidden metadata are stripped from every photo you upload, so a listing photo can't reveal where it was taken. Still, check the background of your photos for anything personal, like mail, a house number or a street sign.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal data. Ever.
- There are no ads in the beta.
- We don't collect payment information. There are no payments on SWAPD, so there's nothing to collect.
Who can see what
Other students see only the public fields above. Moderators and the SWAPD admin can see verification information (such as your student ID) and reports, because they need it to approve accounts and handle problems. They use it only for that.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your information is kept while your account is open. If you want your account deleted, ask the SWAPD admin and it will be removed. A minimal record may be kept where it's needed for safety, for example so that a banned account can't simply be re-created.
Age and parents
SWAPD is for high-school students. Users under 13 are not allowed. If you're a student, we encourage you to show a parent or guardian how SWAPD works and to involve them when you're meeting someone for an exchange.
Cookies
SWAPD uses one essential cookie to keep you logged in. There are no tracking cookies and no third-party advertising cookies.
Changes and contact
This page will change as SWAPD grows, and it will be replaced with a reviewed policy before any public launch. If something important changes, we'll say so on the site. For questions or a deletion request, contact the SWAPD admin.
